Default After swap question. Please help.

After throwing a rod thru my block of my D16A6, I picked up a D16Y7 for $100.
I swapped it in, used my old intake/ exhaust manifolds and dizzy. I have a few hoses that go to nowhere, so I figure I'll plug those, but when I started it up, it idles steady at 3k.
I'm not throwing any CEL's.
What could be the problem?

I rechecked all my vaccum hoses and found one that was undone. Fixed that and its idling okay. I still have a coolant hose that goes to nowhere.
Would it be okay to plug it?
Also, I'm not getting any heat, think thats another hose? Brand new thermostat, brand new radiator.
And one more thing, my fan doesn't seem to want to come on, how would I go about wiring a window switch to run my fan whenever I want to?

Thanks a lot guys.

Sounds like it's backfiring, your timing is probably off.
