Default No oil pressure in B16a2

I drove my 1992 civic to moroso this past weekend and raced 5 times. I drove the car all the way back home ( 90 miles ) with no problems whatsoever. The next day i turn on the car and the oil pressure light is on. So i hook up a guage and i have no oil pressure. Immediately i took out the oil filter and cut it open to check for metal shavings and i didnt see any. So what can my problem be? The oil Pump???

The motor is a b16a2 with je 9to1 pistons, eagle rods, rev valvetrain, type r oil and water pump, acl bearings,ac block guard, stock cams. 57 trim master power turbo on 6 psi.

Thanks,
mike

first try a second gauge to double verify, hate to see ya do all the work and then to find out gauge was faulty been there done that

if not lean towards the pump

Don't start it--its worth it to remove the oil pump--not too much trouble, drop oil pan, crank pulley--like was previously stated--very good chance you shattered your oil pump gear--even if you spin a bearing or have a massive leak--there is always SOME oil pressure--but with the oil pump gear being shattered--you will have 0--also the pick up could have came off and dropped into the pan but that is pretty unusual on a Honda.

i took out the pump i havent taken it apart yet. no metal shavings anywhere. i drained the pan( obviously) i checked the pickup and no shavings anywhere. Im going to take apart the oil pump tomorow morning and see if its cracked (hopefully it is). BTW it was a brand new type r oil pump. used for less than 500 miles on my current setup.

Let me know if it is cracked when you take it apart--very curious. I doubt you did any damage. But if it did crack, why? Are you running a lightweight crank pulley? Could there be another reason?

stock crank pulley. I had a serious oil leak. I drove the car i noticed a huge leak under my car. The oil pan was messed up and was leaking out of everywhere. So i had to get a new oil pan. So im thinking that maybe that is why this happened. But that happened 3 days before i had this oil pressure problem. But im almost sure that this was the reason why i have this problem now. It also could be the little valve inside the pump that controls the pressure. Im at work right now when i get home ill figure it out.

wow i just found out the problem, inside the oil pump there is a little piston well jammed with the piston was a piece of stainless steel wire (looks like wire) causing the piston to stay open always. meaning no oil pressure. Well im very happy it wasnt my bearings. im going to check them anyways. But they are brand new acl bearings that were plastic guaged.
