well i got up to go to worl this morning i let my car warm up well when i was on my way to work i stop at a stop light car rev up by itself between 1100 and 1300rpm and it just went up and between those rpms after a while like a min or two it fell down to normal whats wrong here will this affect my car it a 97 civic dx with a y7 bottom and a y8 mini me

 

check the FITV (fast idle thermo valve) under the intake manifold.
worked on my car which had a 1000rpm irradic idle

 

ya check that and clean out it real good allso what you could do try this you might have air in your lines open up your radiator make sure you put like old towles on the ground or what not and put it around the opening start the car let it warm up then give it a lil gas and keep it steady for about 20 seconds put the cap back on and should be good to go thoese are the only to things i can think of allso have you check to see if you ahve a bad intake gasket or air getting in by the injectors try some break cleaner and see what happens
