okay im sorry guys if this is a really stupid question. i was wondering if you really need to change your stock gsr intake manifold to a type r or skunk 2 for a CAI like the V2 aem?
No..... who told u that?!?!, Anyways i just put in my V2 a week ago (Its Awesome!!) and everything else is stock.... but i have a 97 GSR, so i dont know bout other models but im pretty sure u dont have to. That intake does come with directions, so maybe u can look that up on the net. Also the only thing i had to replace were two tubes and an engine mount bracket but that all came included....

First of all, the OEM ITR intake manifold will not bolt up to a p72 gsr head. The skunk2, blox, aebs, etc single stage manfiolds are modeled after the itr intake manifold and will fit the gsr head when specified. As for intake systems, only intakes made for the gsr will fit only the gsr intake manfiold. If you were to swap to the single stage manifold, such as the ones i mentioned earlier, then you can run an oem or aftermarket b16a, LS, ITR intake system.
