just got a new alt for the a6 but im swapping soon after my rebuild of the z6 is done. the only reason i bought the new one is cause the old one died, and i need a car so it had to be done.

anyways as the title states will it work?

It will work but the pulley on the A6 alternator has a different amount of ribs then the Z6 crank.

Yup, just swap the Z6 pulley onto the A6 alternator and the world will be a better place.

 

i dont know...but it should work...cuz im using my a6 on my gsr....haha

Ha ha LOL I'm using an a6 alt on my B18b...I believe the a6 alt pulley has 3 ribs where in my case the B18b had 4...all i did was use the a6 belt and lined it up on the 3 ribs that made the belt straigh and its worked fine for several months almost a year so you might not eve need to swap pulleys just put it on an eyeball it see if it looks straight

 

i dont even know wat belt im using, its either the a6's or the gsr's or even a b20....so...yea.....but its still doin the job so its all good
