weak spark..
Alright, so I was driving home one day just cruising down the hwy, came to my exit and stopped at the light. My whole car started to shake. Felt like a really bad mis-fire or a bad mount. So I drive it home, has no power (not like I was trying to accelerate hard). So I get home check for spark.. the spark is orange with a blue outline (weak spark) I immediately think to myself, weak coil, since i have month old plugs, wires, cap/rotor. Test the coil, its fine, test the ICM its fine. But on my friends distribuator, its fine. The weird think is I still get that orangeish/blueish spark with my friends working distribuator???
I checked all the grounds, they are fine. I went for a street tuning session the day before and burned a new chip, I wondered if this had anything to do with it (highly doubted it) so in desperate hope I swapped ecu's with my friends, it still had the "weak spark"
My question is.. is this actually weak spark? I've seen strong spark and weak spark before when diagnosising my friends cars and all the strong sparks were bright blue, mine is a dull orange/blue. Anyways, any input will be very helpful. What else could contribute to weak spark? Ive got a bran new ignition system
BTW battery voltage is good, I even swapped ecu's hoping that might fix it, no luck.
