Default Single bent vs. Dual bent short shifters?

I was looking into skunk 2 shifters and saw there were two different types (dual and single bent) but I had no clue what the difference was. Which one do you prefer? Does one sit farther away from the driver than another? I'm 5'11" if that matters any. Thank you for any help on this.
