I have a gsr in my eh9 and its idling funny. It goes to 2000rpm and drops back down to 900rpm.
I just finish rebuilding the motor with type-r internals (pistons,valve springs,cams,and retainers).
The motor has been running fine until now...

Any suggestions would be great. Thank you

 

fast idle thermo valve? or idle air control valve? im assuming you have an intake on the car, if so, take it off, start teh car, and there should be 2 holes inside of the TB. warm the car up and let it do its idle jumping thing. when it does, cover up on of those holes if it stops doing it. its the fast idle thermo valve. if not, then most likely its the IACV

i did what you told me and the bottom hole stops the idle problom...the top hole has no affect

 

then it is you FITV or the Fast Idle Thermo Valve. Look through the FAQ's there is a write up in there on how to fix it.

did you open the valve up and screw the plunger back in?

 

yes i did and i also cleaned it.... again thanks alot
