What up bros...im hopin you can give me some advice. Right now Im running a jdm b16a with a chipped p28 setup. It runs pretty good, but a little rich. I was thinking of tryin out a ctr ecu. Whats your opinion on which one is better.

 

Umm you can have someone burn a chip and your chipped ecu will do the same things as a ctr ecu.

 

I have a chipped ecu. I just want to know which is better out of the 2.

 

just use a p28 and GET A TUNE

 

Better is defined differently.


Specification wise, the CTR ecu is way better. 3 times faster, more memory, better engineering, etc.

However the CTR ecu is not easily programmable so the P28 is better in that sense.

Also if you mean better as in which will make more power, then the P28 wins in that catagory only if you can't get tuned. Although the P28 might still make more power on some random basemap.


In my opinion, forget spending money on a CTR ecu. Just get your setup tuned on CROME by a professional.

 

If you don't have the compression and the cams as a CTR, don't use a PCT. If anything, a P30 is better.
