Default Need some help..........friends gf car issues

THe car is a 93 civic coupe dx auto......... she just got into a wreck. I took a look at it today, and saw that one of the bolts on the lower control arm was snapped, and that tranny is leaking oil, from the part that attaches to the flywheel.

Now my question is, what is the easiest and fastest way to pulling out that broken bolt on the lower controll arm. Its the part that has the sway bar attached to it, looks like a y shaped piece.

As for teh tranny, i am not sure what to say about it. It's leaking oil, slowly but from the part that attaches to the motor/flywheel. ANy clues to the damages? would it need a new tranny? its auto.

thanks a lot for the help

LCA may be bent, and if that is so, it will need to be replaced. Normally when that bolt breaks, it is sheared off, and that means the arm was bent. Get under the car and compare each side of the car.

pictures.

its the threaded part of the bolt is still in the control then it will suck. Drilling and tapping are in your future. other using a punch and a big hammer will help

leaking tranny fluid by the flywheel? you sure its tranny fluid and not the rear main leaking?

the hit was on the front right side, on the rim. We got the bolt off, and replaced. Put a new rim on, and its fine. But the tranny, is leaking right where it mates to the motor. any clues on what could the problem?
