Default Cable YS1 Tranny...b16 or b18?

I have a Cable ys1 tranny and want to know what car this came from.
I was told it was a b16 transmission and someone else said that it could only be an LS.
AND what years were YS1 trannys made because i need a throw out bearing and want to know which one to buy.

any help is appreciated thank you

I've seen a YS1 come from two different engines. One YS1 I saw, was on a stock LS. It was definitely a LS trans. You could tell by the long gears while driving. They only came in the 92-93 Integra. I can't remember exactly but the 90-91's came with the y1, or s1...I'm not sure.

I've also seen the JDM YS1, which is a b16 trans. Rumor has it, that they are the best cable trans to get. I'm not sure why. And I think they only came with the LSD option.

So I know there are two different YS!'s. I'm just not sure how to tell the difference.

ys1 = jdm b16 = 92-93 USDM LS,GS,RS = 92-93 USDM GSR

be careful not to get ripped off, i've looked at 92-93 DA's that advertise " JDM B16 Tranny Yo!" only to find out that it has the tall gearing during the test drive.

I think the ysk-1 is the 90-91 LS trans. I think I pulled a YSK-1 out of my car when I swapped for my b16.

90/91 = s1, j1, y1, a1

92/93 gsr, b16 = ys1 short geared

92/93 rs, ls, ls-s, gs = ys1 long geared

ys1 same casing, bearings, can swap entire 94-01 hydro parts inside. You cant tell from the outside if its the long or short geared version. Gotta spin it and count the revolutions.
