im not too familar with accords but where is the diagnostic wire you know the ones found under the glove compartment of civic and itnegras the green clip
is it under the compartment on 98+ accords or is it elsewhere
need to check why my cluster is lighting up the cel

You can jump certain terminals of the service connector by the steering column and make it flash the code numbers, but its much easier to take it to a parts store and get a readout of the problem using a scanner. Most will do it for free. There is no separate two wire connector to jump like the older cars.

OBD2 codes are in a alphabet and 4 digit format(ex: P0109), i dont think you can decipher it with blinks of the CEL light

The DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) is an alpha numeric. The blinking MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) is strictly a numeric. As an example for cyl #1 misfire, a P0301 DTC is the same as a code 71 MIL.
Thats another reason why is better to use a scanner which just reads out the problem.
