That's what I was thinking. Throw-out bearing, or shift fork is what I'm thinking.

I guess it could be the slave cylinder. Here's what you do. Get into 5th gear, and when you want to come out, blip the throttle, and try to pull the tranny out of 5th. As the engine switches from loaded to unloaded, it should come right out with no problem. If it comes right out of gear, then you know you have a clutch problem, because the clutch isn't engaging.

Same story here, my master + slave cylinder + clutch, including the throwout bearing of course, had been replaced this week and I STILL get the exact same problem. All gear are stuck at over 2500rpm which is frustrating. pls help !

Well from what I understand, a lot of honda trannys have double synchromeshes. My car is a 99 EX. If I say I start out driving and just take the RPMs up to about 5.5 or 6.5k, trying to shift from 1st to 2nd hard and fast will almost never happen, it's like I'm missing a gear but it just won't let it go into the 2nd gear. Basicially from my research that I've looked around, it's just that due to the double synchromesh, they are unable to keep up with the speed of the engine RPM's so when you try to shove it into another gear they don't mesh. Not really anything you can do about it unless you wanna mess with tranny work (which I personally have NO experience with) but also from what I understand it's not something that is BROKEN, just the way the tranny is made.

So basically what you're saying is, Hondas were made with high RPM redlines but their trannies were designed to not be shifted above 5k RPMs?
