The hardest part of this project is aquiring the parts. After that it is plug and play. And you can make your own floor cable but I went to the jyard and pulled all the wires I needed. GL.

i did this
i purchased a 94 civic ex 2 door
gutted the car and every wire including the main harness all fuse boxes under the hood and dash

removed every wire in my cx

installed wires and fuse boxes from ex into cx
i installed a d15b so i didnt have to wire for vtec cause the ex has it

the harness for the rear lights is different form the ex so you will have to re pin the connection its not plug and play but everything else was

i added power windows locks cruise tilt wheel ex tweeters intermedit wipers
i will never do this again way to much work but i love having it done the right was not one wire was cut so everything looks and works like factory

if someone shows me how to post pictures i have many

You do not need the floor harness. You change 2 wires for the rear speakers. You need the main harness, under the dash, the inner door harness, and the components inside the door. I did it to my dx.
