SO i just swapped another b16a2 into my SI.

When I try to start it, it take a while to start and when/if it does, the idle is real rough and around 200 rpm. and just stutterslike it's not getting enough fuel(but I know it is) and if I give it gasit'll catch and rev(on it;s own) up to about 3000-3500 rpm and then back down and die.

while it's reving it self up and can give it gas then and keep the revs up but lots of white smoke billows out.

I dont knwo enough about the motor to fix it, andy ideas?? I'm throwing code 6.

well code 6 is ECT - water temperature sensor
check that first

 

yeah I know but it's plugged in, how do I check it? it's the brown sensor on the water spout right?

Did you get the problem resolved? Since I have the same problem with my b16a2 swap
