i just dropped the front of my si on sportlines.... didnt get to the back yet got dark to fast lol...but any ways with fast jerks of the wheel back and forth I can here the spring make noise moving metal on metal ahh well guess i should of put the top rubber thing on durrr
The instructions I was following didnt say if I needed the rubber boot cover thing so I was unaware...I should of just put it on but idk what I was thinking.... Anyways is my spring gonna fall off without it or just make annoying noises?

You need the dust boot cover. Just twist it onto the coil. Thats the cause of the grinding

Put the stock springs back on if you can't fix your current problem before driving.

you shouldnt drive it. find a ride to work and have a friend work on it. that, or call in and fix it. stock springs arent fun to put back on unless u have a spring compressor. getting em off is easy, but putting em back on can be a little work. i havent messed with the new ones, but i know the stock springs for a crx, EK, or dc2 arent fun to put back on. take a day off and fix the problem

Does this mean you have something not attached the right way?

I meant that if you can't fix the noise, then put the originals back on before you drive it.

The front was a bitch for me to push down on the hub and install the shock/spring...the back was cake....I used hand tools ... either way I prob spent 3hrs total on it
