Car : !994 del sol Vtec (b16a3 with stock tranny)
I recently took the tranny out of the car because I could not shift while the car was on. I tried shifting it while off, and it worked, so I turned the car on with my foot stuck in the clutch pedal. The car would start to go slowly, as if there was a little bit of clutch engagement, but the clutch would otherwise work normally, with the exception of not being able to shift.
Ok, after taken the tranny out, I immediately noticed that 3 or 4 of the teeth in the pressure plate were pressed towards the inside in comparisson to the rest. I said "well that must be the problem, the teeth are bent", so I countinued to dismantel the press.plate and clutch disc. After taking both out, I noticed that those 3 or 4 teeth were no longer misaligned or "pressed towards the inside", which left me puzzled.

What can I assume from this?? Has the problem fixed itself???

i would say no and buy a new clutch kit. better for the long run

 

i sounds like i have the same problem right now! did u replace the pressure plate? and if so did that fix the problem?

 

same thing happend to me found out it was the pressure plate. they gave me the wrong one.
