B16A3 Clutch Install problem...??
Hello All!! My dad and I just installed an Exedy OE equivilant clutch w/ACT Streetlight flywheel, on my '94 del sol VTEC this weekend. Everything went without a hitch, except for lifting the heavy *** tranny back up into postion!! But now my first gear is wierd. When I push the clutch in and try to push it in first....it doesn't want to go!!! I really have to force it in there. It never had this problem b4 so I'm open to any and all input!!! On an interesting note, I have found that when I'm slowing down to a stop, if I have the clutch in and gently give some pressure to go into first, it falls right in there like it should almost b4 the car stops. ???? Please help!!!

Well.....I stuck the alignment tool inside the pressure plate to hold the clutch disk in place so it didn't fall while I mated the pressure plate to the flywheel. Other than that...... nope that's all I used the alignment tool for. How do you align it then???

what he said. i had this same problem you are describing and all it needed was a re-bleeding of the clutch MC.
the reason you are having difficulties putting the car in first is because the clutch isn't FULLY disengaging...it's like trying to slam the car into gear without having the clutch in. if you don't think this is the case, jack the front of your car up, take the wheels off, put the car in first but hold the clutch in all the way and watch your rotors spin.

Damn, you guys are good!!! :-) I also think the Clutch MC is the culprit. I have have a slow leak with my Current master cylinder, which i have delayed due to NOPI's non-helpful ness. My friend and I figured that it was JUST getting by since my other clutch disk was worn down. So I'm due for a new clutch master cylinder and a bleeding of the sytem. Thanks for the input everyone!!! ;-) Much Appreciated!!! HONDA FOREVER!!! ;-)
