b18b bottom end rebuild
Hey guys, I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum but I was wondering if anybody could help me out with some tech advice.
A close friend of mine has a ls b18b block with a b16 head......LS/VTEC. The bottom end needs to be rebuilt.
I was wondering what would be the best and least expensive way of rebuilding the bottom end. I know the rods are more than likely ok but I believe the pistons, and pins need to be replaced. I know that p30's are a really good choice for a N/A daily driver build up. But mostly I'm just wondering what else is good to do while it's stripped down. I'm going to try to have him hone it and bore it .5 over for a 81.5mm. Any help as far as parts and stuff would be great, thanks.

with the bottom end apart, i would at least replace all bearings, the rings, gaskets (oil pan & pickup, rear main seal) and you may want to think about oil & water pumps if they're in the budget.
