Default How do i flush the gas tank?

I need to flush out my gas tank, i drained all of my old gas and there were all kinds of **** in it. Is there an easy way to flush my system out?

well you probably could but it would take forever and probably make a dangerous mess.

Just pump gas into it with the drain plug off? That's the only idea I have. Unless they make a machine for it like they do with auto trannys n radiators.

Really? Autozone has OEM gas tanks for EF's?

i would drain the tank as you have already done then open the fuel line on the fuel rail and just keep turning the key i had to take the tank down on a 85 honda because of rust i took all of the gas out and did what i just said. when i had the tank down i just ran a hose into it and made sure i had all the water out...make sure all of the water is out.replace the fuel filter and the sock on the gas tank attached to the fuel pump...

Well I pressure washed mine then bought this kit that came with some acid and some stuff that lines the tank after u use the acid. It works great.
