obd II car throwing codes

Default obd II car throwing codes

can i jump the 2 pin connector on a OBD2 car like you can on a OBD1 car?

you can but you get some real high numbers and youll need a manual to look up the codes

if your refering to specific OBD2 protocol codes such as (Powertrain) P0***, these can only be seen with a scan tool, if you jump the connector you see the same damn CEL flash the same number of times as OBD1

i just did that on my car. i didnt get high numbers. i got the normal codes you would pull by looking at the flashing CEL. ive got a 2000 ek.

..you can get those on obd1 as well

91 Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor low input
92 Evaporative Emission Control System insufficient purge flow


although i dont think it will throw a code 80, as obd2 cars dont have an egr valve

yea because you count to 91, do you even know how to count the flashes

yes i know how to check for cels you dumb ****. i said that because if he tried to use the regular obd1 list it would not show up he would need a manual that has the codes in cel blink numbers
