Default OBD2 to OBD1

If you convert from Obd 2 to obd1. How do you get your car inspected. I am trying to get rid of a cel code 91. I researched and everybody says there is no fuel tank pressure sensor on 96 d16y7's. If not, why am I getting a cel? Can you inspect a OBD2 car with an OBD1 ECU?

OBD2 to OBD1 isnt going to pass inspection here anymore. You've got to hook up to the OBD port in an OBDII car to pass inspection anymore. I don't know how to kill the code 91 though.

I tried to wire in a potentiometer tonight. I cant find the sensor. Plus, my honda manual and the info a person that has done it doesn't match. If I knew what color the wires were or where the sensor was I would be straight.

hmmmm. I know in va if theres no check engine lite they dont dig into checking that kind of stuff. I dont know what kind of emission checks they do where your at. If its that bad I would get a fuel tank censor and cut the plug to the harness and then repin it to your car. That should fix the problem.

I have a 96 Del Sol S. d16Y7. I need the colors or pin positions of the fuel tank pressure sensor. I got from another guy that it was D10, D15, and D11. But I don't know how to red the pins.
