installing gauges???
hey people im new to the forum and i have like all the autometer gauges including the indash speedometer and rpm gauge what im planning to do is go to the junk yard and buy a cluster take it apart build out of fiberglass the mounts and install some in there so basically making custom cluster with autometer gauges know my question is is there anywhere where i can get a detail instruction manual on how to install those gauges into my eg??? and ill keep u guys up dated with pix and everything thanks ahead of time
i dont think i quite understand what ur saying. if im guessing correctly you want to take apart a cluster and build it with aftermarket gauges? if thats the case it CAN be done tho you are really going to riceify your car if you do it.

i assume that is what your talking about. i personally find nothing wrong with the stock cluster. if anything i'd just swap it out with a different cluster such as the si cluster. as far as installing im pretty sure searching through google can help or maybe someone here can help

ok bro what im saying is that im taking apart the cluster and im not just doin the rpm gauge im also doing the speedometer and fuel and voltage itll look nice and im buying one from the junk yard just to see how it looks and not messing with mine till its donw ill keep u guys updated on the progress but itll look sick so im not ricing it just dont judge till its done and the link u showed me thats ricing a car thats ugly as crap
so ur doing the entire cluster. well that makes more sense. but thats the general idea of what ur doing rite? aftermarket gauges on the cluster itself? if u do that then it all depends on the way the car is built and the gauges u select. btw i wasnt judging i was just stating that i think its rather ricey. also u have to look at how u like it and not how i like it. the one gauge IS ricey no doubt but if ur changing all three then it might look diff. keep me updated i'd love to see how it turns out and good luck on it
so itll say it in one of those books at like autozone which cable is which and stuff obviously its not gonn show like where to put them im not that noob but yeah ill keep u guys updated and by the way i have the cobalt set which is gonna be sick it all matchs nd i personally think its gonna be sic

IMO I think youre wasteing perfectly good money. But its your car.
You can hook up the speedo to the VSS, Tach to the coil, Temp, to the coolant temp sensor, Oil Pressure to the oil pressure switch. and volts it pretty obious.

there is a blue/white wire under the dash somewhere. Im talking about the coil inside the distributor comming from the positive lead use a volt meter to find continunity between the positive lead and the wire off the distributor and splice it there.
