Hey guys, the never ending saga of trying to smog my hatch has taken a new twist...
So, here is what the problem is, today at least...
Basically, we had a CEL code 14 last night, but since we had just replaced the sensor, we went down the list of probable causes listed in the Helms manual. We swapped out the TB, and the CEL is now gone. But I'm trying to make it the DEQ today, and I want to know any other possible "logicl" problems to check before I go in.
Currently, the car DOES NOT have a CEL. However, I am not sure if the "driving cycle" has passed, we reset teh ECU yesterday afternoon...
Thanks in advance, I hope this is the last time I have to post a tech question like this for a LONG TIME...

After I swapped out blocks, I threw a IACV code (14). It turned out that I didn't put the right plug on. I ended up putting the knock sensor plug onto the IACV and the IACV plug onto the knock sensor. Or maybe it was the IAT sensor. Anyway it was the wrong plug
Can anyone tell me what color the wires are to the IAC valve?
We might have the same situation as above. It doesn't help that there are like 5 or 6 identical plugs on the 99-00 si harness.

Yea, we checked thae plugs against a stock Si... That is correct now, the plugs actually were switched before, so it leads me to believe the problem lies elswhere...
BTW, the car is a 98 EK, with a 99 B16A and Si harness/ECU.

Hey Nate, do you have your Helms on you?
Look to see if it tells you the wire colors on the plug. Remember that we have an un-used plug that is zip tied next to the intake.

I do not have the Helms on me, but I know they do not list colors in there... Actually thats one of the only drawbacks to the manual I've encountered...
I'll look this afternoon tho when I get to my car, I'm working right now... I'll get back to you later.
