Default amperage limit fuel pump efficiency?

Hey guys and maybe 1 girl, whats up

so i just recently installed a fuel cut off. just used ur basic flip switch and interupted the power wire to the fuel pump with some 16 gauge wire and a 10 amp switch.

it seems to work fine and i had no doubts at first, but i checked the fuel pump fuse and sure enough it was a 15amp fuse. so if i used a 10 amp switch would that somehow hinder the performance of the fuel pump? I'm currently boosting an unbuilt block and im trying to buy a wideband but for now i dont even have an a/f gauge.

i would think that by running a really low amperage switch it might take away from the amount of fuel thats being put out by the pump, and running lean is something i cant do right now.

b16 boosted, 440ccs stock fpr, 255walboro, tuned on hondata, no o2 sensors, so map only.

thanks
