Default Carbon Fiber Hood = Higher Chance of Car getting Jacked?

I got a White CRX HF, doing a swap to it this winter (d15b turbo)

Im going to get a carbon fiber hood from a guy
I dont got an alarm just an auto-lock
Im gunna get my alarm installed after the swap

sorta worried my car is gunna get jacked or theres a higher chance of it happening cause of the CF hood (attracts attention)

Am I just paranoid?

Any Input from people that got CF hoods?

It will attract attention if you put one on there. That is just life. The more stock you can make your car look the bettter off you are. I would get an alarm before I did a swap.

$300 alarm < $1000 engine setup

Carbon fiber hoods arnt my thing for exactlly the reason you said. It will draw more attension to your car, so I'd go with some kill switches, alarm (with hood switch)... etc.

I'm going to give the same response as just about everybody else (it's a no-brainer!!).

Get an alarm before doing anything else!!

Having a CF hood will cause your car to stand out and that means that the thieves will be looking at it!

And ya, I'd recommend you thinking about painting it.

When I go to school, I park my car waaay off campus and ride my skate board to class. The car is parked in a quite neighborhood with an alarm, kill switch, and autolock. Lots of cars get jacked at Universities. Plus, I don't have to pay $130 for parking per semester!

while we're on this subject, does anyone know the exact weight difference between the CF and the stock hood? How much weight does it really trim?

spend the money on the alarm now, buy the hood later.

there are hundreds of CF hoods floating around, but if your car is stolen, you're jsut assed-out.

Don't paint your hood just paint your car KSM you'll barely be able to tell the hood is CF from a distance.

Next thing besides the car alarm and Engine swap

I like the hood but it looks like you need to get some of that paint off your trim. Poor tape job. I would be hitting that trim up with some thinner!
