ECU Code... HELP!
Ok so Im about to pick up a '91 Civic hatch with a b18b swap in it...Im not to sure what ecu is running the car but I have riddin in it and it runs fine minus one problem...The car is throwing a code. The guy said it was a code 43 and that it was the fuel supply. He's replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the injectors, throttle body and all. The problem that it is having is idling. It almost wants to just die... My question is does anyone know of this code or has anyone dealt with this code and fixed it? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Im picking this car up this weekend no matter what and I need help so please dont tell me to search or look around cuase I dont have the time or patience. Thanks!
I'm skeptical. I've never seen a OBD0 ECU throw a code 43.
I suggest you check the code yourself to know what you're getting into.
Trouble code aside, vacuum hoses, IACV, MAP all usually have something to do with a poor idle - i would screw with those before the fuel system.
If you want to know if the fuel pump is doing its job, test the pressure, if the pressure is fine, then don't replace the pump.
Never "throw parts at a problem".

Yes....I meant that the car runs fine but idles rough. How do I go about testing the pressure of the fuel pump. I know I should probably search but I DONT have time Im picking this car up soon and need any and all help I can get....Please help!
i got ur answer i had the same code bein thrown on my car and it was a pain to figure out, cuz i wanted to referee my crx wit an LS. it can be one of 2 things from my experience it would be either the o2 sensor or u have a short in the wiring for the fuel pump plug. for me it ended up being a short cuz the previous owner had damn near exposed all of the wires at the connector.

did you ever try raising the idle?
I'm not sure about the code myself, but I have come across this before with an LS swap. the motor also had a wild cam upgrade. the problem, the motor was running at a low compression. you shouldn't have worry about this problem because your's is a straight B18 swap.
