Default zc

im not sure which topic to post this in so i decided to put it in the one im most familiar with ANYWAYS to the point

i bought the 91 hatch last thursday with a jdm dohc zc and before i swapped it into my rex i noticed that there were two wires ran for v-tec with a v-tec plug....the i saw that they ran into the head and on the head is an older v-tec soleniod which means it would be a zc v-tec....BUT ive never heard of a zc with v-tec and its not a b16 head either sooooo could it really have v-tec or sum1 just not knowing what they are doing....but then i think about it......how would they get a v-tec solenoid on the head if it wasn't a v-tec head??? is there any other v-tec heads that would look like a zc head?? i know its not a d15 or d16 cuz i know wut those heads look like any help would be

if it's a sohc, it could be vtec, if its a dohc zc its not vtec. it has to be a b16. Or some *** welded on a bracket for a vtec solenoid to fool you.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by La-Quiete &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">if it's a sohc, it could be vtec, if its a dohc zc its not vtec. it has to be a b16. x2. If it has ZC stamped on the block and it's DOHC, it's not a VTEC solenoid.
