Default What engines can fit on a EK?

Im thinking about getting a swap in the future and I was wondering what engines and motors can fit into my EK hood? Can all engines fit if you do a full swap? Or are there different sizes? How can you find out?

F series, too.

Hell, you can probably throw a VQ35 or even an LS1 in there if you had the ambition and the money.

When you do swaps, do you have to swap out everything from the hood?

ok from the sounds of it you are def. not ready to do a swap, bet neways depends on what ur swapping which affects what modifications and stuff you have to replace. For you i think your best bet is either B or H series. B is easier with maybe just having to change the axles and mounts and some wiring while H is more involved. Plus D isn't worth your time and K I doubt you would be able to perform without at least some experience in swapping a motor or a friend who has.

off topic a d-series motor isnt worth ur time is a very ignorent statement to say no offense but a cheaper stock turbo d will blow a stock b-series motor out of the water and will be able to beat a stock k-series if u know what ur doing. just had to say that cause d16 t's is the best bang for ur buck. like a 1500 for 200whp. or stock b16 installed for like what 2000 at its cheapest makeing like 160hp at the flywheel and 111ftlbs of tq for more money 500+ dollars. dont mean to offend any body but saying a d-series motor is not worth the time or money is a very untrue statement.

well if u only plan on going 200whp then d isn't bad. but even at 200whp there's still a lot of stock cars that can beat u. lol. b series is good for boost, k for all motor, h is in between but pretty difficult to install.

Whoa!! Bringin out the VQ35! Don't forget the VG30 and VG33!

I'm glad somebody knows what they are talking about!! The problem is, everyone on honda tech thinks the B/K/H-series motors are gods gift to cars...

my point was that if ur plans are to go no more than say 240whp than d boosted is the way to go. oh and ur also saying that there is still alot of stock cars that can beat a 200whp boosted d-series thats cheaper than a b-series. yet u pay more for a b-series and u get less especially in tq. there isnt much room for bad mouthing the d-series motor unless ur going to go over about 250whp with ur civic. but any wheres under that. the d boosted is the way to go. now if ur looking to be more reliable then ok n/a will win that competition. a d-series boosted can be reliable its just more of a hassle because u would have to play with it more from time to time.

oh and a b series boosted will run u back about 3-4g's
