rattle from engine?

Default rattle from engine?

so im pretty sure i broke a motor mount

but just in case

when my car idles you can here somthing viberating and when you push down on the spark plug cover hard it goes away.

Yep, that's what happened. The same happened to me. I broke 2 motor mounts

Anyway, gotta fix it.

just curious...how does motor mount break? is it a defect or something that you did to cause it to break? thx.

wear and tear. they are rubber, rubber becomes weak after a couple of years.

maybe a good time to get polyurethane bushings (if you're into that stuff)

Only company I know of that even sells poly bushings for engine mounts, is Energy Suspension. But, I do not know if they deal with 7th Gen Civics.

I haven't noticed any part #'s on their site for the D17... but I will double check...

they do, i bought a set a couple of months ago, i was going to install them in my car but decided not to, and i sold them.

they are red, and people complain they are too stiff...
