Default Vibration a lot worse after motor mount inserts, anyone else have this?

I just put in a set of Energy Suspension Motor Mount Inserts in my 98 Civic EX, I could only get the right and left torque mounts inserts in time, and the car vibrates like crazy now, although the handling is a little better. Anyone else have a lot of vibrations after installing these? mine is a little excessive, my door rattles when I have it open with the car at idle now.

Precisely why the OEM mounts are much softer. They are made to absorb such things. Try to get used to it.

Yes. Car will shake/vibrate like a sumbitch.

i've heard not putting in the rear insert will make vibrations alot worse than having all three in.

My ES inserts aren't bad at all.

Common sense dictates that, when installing stiffer engine mounts, a greater amount of vibration will be transferred to the chassis.

Seriously, I'm used to mine. Took all of 20 minutes.

Yeah, but mine is to the point that my speakers rattle when I have the door open. My point was if the rear mount makes that big of a difference, and if other people have had this problem

Yes, child, the vibrations will be much more severe if you do not install all of the mounts. Think about it: having rock-solid mounts at two points and leaving the third squishy as a sack of limp dick will transfer the vibration that was previously absorbed at all three locations to the remaining soft-spot. If the vibrational waves are seeing constructive interference - which they are in this case - the wave pattern will be huge and your car will rattle itself to pieces.

Do it right or do it twice. Didn't your father teach you anything?

I have the two side mounts and no vibration at all.

^^^^^^

Bingo. Less give = more vibration.

Think metal skate wheels on concrete vs. (whatever the hell rollerblade wheels are made of). Obviously the metal wheels give less this transferring the vibration whereas rollerblade wheels somewhat absorb the shock.
