Default first time at the track- my time sucks:)

r/t .675 (didnt care for reaction time since its tnt)
60' 2.263
330 6.327
1/8 9.453/85.61mph
1000 11.808
1/4 13.798/111.33,ph

first time at the track with 420hp/312tq b16 tranny. i was on street tire falken azenis 615 launching at 1300-1500rpm. i thought about getting drag radials but it was too late in the season to get full use out of them. the track wasnt prep too well for street tire. i was spinning my tire hardcore in 2nd and 3rd. so i end up riding down the track on 4th. i also shifted early on 4th to 5th. so trap speed would be alot higher too if i just kept on 4th.

so my question is with drag radial and better traction. my trap speed should be alot higher? maybe in the 120s with the power im making? also with the trap speed its currently should be at 12s?

setup is
Benson Sleeve B18b
83mm bore

it wasnt a big one just 1300rpm. it wheel hopped off the line so i let go of the gas and stepped on it again.

i wish i had more runs in. i was going a little faster each run.

thats where some cars idle! try launching that thing at 5k and feathering the clutch.

at about 400whp i ran 12.6 at 124 on $70 kumho tires w/o lowering tire pressure. I was launching at about 3500 and just feathering it through 1st 2nd and 3rd. i was cutting 2.1 60's. So i'd say with that power level and dr's you should definatly be well in the 12's. and also i just realized that we have the same crappy suspension. tenzo-r baby haha.

the track was super shitty and cold. i was spinning with 50-60% gas. but i will try a 3500-5000rpm luanch and see what happens

yeah i hear ya. it looked like as soon as your tires started spinning you shifted(maybe you werent) but if you were then try to ride out the gears a little longer feathering it. Personally i think its way more challenging trying to go down the track with a 400+ whp car on street tires than it is on slicks. Atleast as far as technique. Good luck next go at the track the car sounds sick

I have azenis 615's to and they hop like crazy off the line.

I don't think there to good for drag racing.

There side walls are to stiff.
