02 LX salvage..
Since winter is coming soon, i want a 2nd car since my car right now is a boosted EP, and isnt all so reliable. my older sister knows a guy selling a 02 LX. it needs a motor, and some cosmetic body work. i can get it for real cheap, so i'll probably buy it and drop a motor in. at first i wanted to put a k24 in there, but i need this sooner than later cuz my EP is acting like a dying dog right now so i guess the regular D17 will be the motor for it..
so the d17a1, and a2... i'm assuming the a1 is for the LX... but 115 hp and the a2 has like 126ish with vtec? are they directly swapable for this chassis? if i use a a2, do i just need to buy a a2 ecu?
and is there anywhere good online where i can buy a new fender, or any other used body parts?

You are correct with ur engine terminology
d17a2= EX
d17a1 = LX/VP/DX
Both engines fit the exact same. If u are a little more performance minded, the d17a2 does have a few extra HP, but if u are eventually gunna swap it out I would just stick with the a1.
If u do decide to run the a2, the easiest way is probably just to run a VAFC II, then u can keep the stock ECU, and you can still make minor tuning changes ( although they will not increase HP much, if at all)

Go over to 7thgencivic or clubcivic sites. Both have fenders nd motors in the for sale section.
