Re: Buy body kit or buy engine?? (gambit33)
since a bodykit will add 150.3 hp and probably put your car in the 12's i say go with the body kit. ohh yea. dont paint it. you can buy altezza's and windshield neons with the money you save. actually go with the motor.

1.6 SOHC VTEC (d16z6) or DOHC vtec (b16a)?
cause if it's SOHC, i say no...
but DOHC go for it...
but u gotta also take into consideration that broads don't care how fast your car is...they care how it looks, and how they'll look in it, and u'll want to find out how they look in your backseat...
so it's all about what u want man...do u want a sick fast car? or a show, but no go car?

save more money aand get a real mota atleast a b-series
but if you need to make a choice soon i would go with the kit since the sohc wont help much.

After a while you will get tired of the kit and then you will have to pay more to get the car put back to normal. I speak from experiene. Get the engine, you won't regret it (unless you want torque).

body kits suck. no offense.. go for for a motor.. just make sure your car is clean thats all that matters, body kits just make the damn thing look bulky and to me they add a "rice" appearance on most cars. but yeah go for the vtec yo!

My choice is either buy a buddy club body kit, or buy a 1.6 Vtec motor??

Engine over body kit; but since it seems you have a non-VTEC as of now, your suspension and brakes should probably be of higher priority -- if you upgrade at all. IMO, leave it stock and learn to drive it to your fullest abilities and then mod it.

here's my priority order:
1-performance
2-appearance
get the motor
1-performance
2-appearance
get the motor
#1-Performance.
#2-Performance.
#3-Performance.
#4-You get the idea.
Put a B16 under your hood. You will get much more enjoyment out of it.
