you cant go 89mm even with aftermarket sleeves. if you want to buy sleeves and have a local machine shop install them, search for darton. if you want to send your block out and have it sleeved, search for golden eagle, erl, bensons.

You can't install them yourself, unless you have access to a machine shop.

And they don't make them in 89mm.

edit beat me too it.

usually a sleeve measurement means the size of the bore, not the stroke, you cant have a 89 mm bore, unless you have a k20

bore = the diameter of the piston head

that is all you need. the size of the 'kit' will be the same as the bore.

if you have 85mm pistons, then you need 85mm sleeves.

all b-series except the b20 have an 81mm bore, i _think_ b20's is 83mm? usually you can only bore out a few mm.

B16a=81mm bore 77.4mm stroke 203.25 mm deck height
b20b=84mm bore 89mm stroke 211.84 deck height
b18b=81mm bore 89mm stroke 211.84 deck height
b18c(GSR)=81mm bore 87.20 stroke 212.39 deck height

so what i need 89mm sleeve or bore the same thing

let me try to simplify this for you. the stroke of the crankshaft in a b20 is 89mm. the cylinder bores (sleeves) are 84mm. if you want big bore you would have to resleeve it then bore it to your desired specs. usually no more than 85mm on a b series if you intend to drive it on the streets.

sleeves come in one size. when your machine shop installs the sleeves they will bore the cylinders out to match the pistons you'll be using.

You cant bore out the B-series to an 89mm. That is too big. most you can go is 87mm.

the b20 is not really the best block to sleeve, it has a weaker foundation than the other b-series kits. We never use b20 blocks in our race cars, only b18 sleeved.
