Default Starter issues

well i think my starter is fried i have 12 volts constant at the thick guage wire with the bolt and the other wire has 12volts when the key is in the start position, but the starter does not crank, i also tried to jump the thick gauge wire to the switched plug and i could here the solenoid click but the starter did not try to crank at all, i had a couple electircal issues before hand and i think i might have ground out the starter motor. I think the issue is my starter, and that if i get a new one it should solve this, if anyone has any other opinions on what this could be please let me know. Also what car do i need a starter for, for a b16 transmission, will any b-series starter work???

Thank You,
Roman

Try and hit it with something. If it starts after thet then the solonoid is bad. Seriously
