Wondering if any1 have any turbochargers install and want to hear ppls reviews on them
Hey guys wondering if any1 have installed turbocharger and kits and review on them... let me know how much hp u gain and other any other powered gained from ur turbochargers, dunt 4get to say the brand., kuz i might put together a turbocharger kit soon just want to know other ppls reviews especially ppl with 6th gens
A friend of mine has a 90 accord with the F22A1, He bought a Turbonetics turbo kit, was about 3200 bucks, but it came with basically everything
came with the trubo, manifold, down pipe, waste gate intercooler, intercooler piping, injector controller, turbo timer, 440cc injectors, blow off valve, MAP sensor, air filter, oil, all the hardware and fittings,
im not sure the HP he got but the thing said its suppose to be like 75-100.. but his car hauled ***
Besides the stuff from the turbo kit, he got a Gude cam, with cam gear, port and polished his head and all that crap, oversized valves,

yeah there's a few of us here with boosted 6th gens.
what specifically do you want to know? I've been boosted for 4+ years now. Started with a drag kit and have spiraled downward from there. Hope you've got a lot of $$ to blow or at least credit.

juss wanted to know wat part brand ppl used and how much power it help increased basically
power is very variable with turbo. you can easily add 100+ horspower to any motor. but if it's a stock motor it won't last long. I've been through 3 stock blocks, and finally have a built motor which has held up for a while now. I put down something like 248 hp and 268 ft/lbs to the wheels on one of my stock blocks but it didn't last very long.
well im might go for the turbonetics kit with my stock vtec f23, u guys think there will be a problem with that, meaning will my engine last wit the kit??

like Notorious B said, there are alot of us 6th gen turbo accords, and like he, i have had 248-250 to the wheel on a stock motor, but then again it didnt last long, and am now building my motor

B, correct me if im wrong, but it all depends on the tuning you use, and how much boost your pushing, and how your motor is right now, (alot of variables i know) if your motor will last.

it's all in tuning & fuel management, and of course knowing the limitations of cast pistons.
the fmax kit's fuel management pretty much sucks and there is no real way to retard timing on the F23 w/o a standalone computer. it probably won't last very long unless you keep the boost very low, or ditch the f-max fuel solution and replace with a good standalone.

SO TRUE SO TRUE. I'VE BEEN PUT ON RESTRICTION BY MY WIFE UNTIL JAN,07 BECAUSE OF THE $9000 I HAVE SPENT ON MY ENGINE SO THAT IT WOULD HOLD THE BOOST SAFELY WITH OUT BREAKIN SOMETHING. HAVING A TURBOED MOTOR IS ALOT OF FUN ,AND A ROYAL PIAN IN THE *** TO.
I RUNNIN ON A GARRETT T3/T4 TURBO, 38MM TIAL WASTEGATE/HKS BOV, AND SPEARCO INTERCOOLER. LOVE THE SET UP. SPOOLS UP FAST.

It IS harder to read, and many people would agree. Not to mention it's perceived as yelling or screaming. Many people on here simply won't read posts that are typed in all caps.
I wasn't trying to be rude, but if you want to be a dick about it...
