buying my auto to manual parts

Default buying my auto to manual parts

i know what i need to do it. Already got the other stuff. However The ecu would i need a new ecu?? NVM do i need a honda del sol si ecu or could i just use the regular eg civic ecu. Im parting out an 94 civic eg. Same engine and everything. So could that ecu work?

If the ecu's are for the same motor, and the new ecu is for a manual, then it will work.

*Edit, I don't know which ecu's go with which motor/car in the eg's, but I will take a look.

well i have a 94 honda del sol d16z6 and the parted out car is a 94 eg civic d16z6

You need a manual ecu for a d16z6.

So, to put it simply, you need the ecu from the parted-out car.

so i just swap the ecus and all is fine, so all i would need to buy extra is the shiftlinkage and the tranny mounts. great!!

This has all the parts you will need plus the manual d16z6 ecu. I was assuming from your original post that you had or knew of all the parts you needed except the ecu.

Hey guys, im getting ready to do my auto to manual convertion soon too.

i have a ek hatch, wanted to know what i need to do this swap. i will be swaping in a jdm gsr motor or a h22a. what parts do i need to compete this project.

Search. This is called thread jacking and is not allowed as per the forum rules. Also, if you want to know everything you need Here is one thread on swapping auto to manual and there is another one. This info is located in the FAQ at the top of the forum btw.

hey man yea look at the faq it really helped me alot. I asked a alot of questions about this swap just search. Start with the faq they really do help and also saves you from a bunch of questions

Quick learner. Using the FAQ and search saves everyone soooo much headache, as just about any question you can ask has (I can almost guarantee) already been answered in some point in time. And fyi, archive the search and you will get so many more hits.
