Default question about shifting into reverse?

i have a 00 si and most of the time is hard to shift into reverse. most of the time if i depress the clutch put it in neutral and press the clutch again and put it in reverse again it will go in kind of smooth. i was wondering what could be the problem or is this a common problem. the car has less than 60k mi. and it also has a racing clutch. thanks.

Shift into 2nd gear, and then into reverse. Stops the synchros

The four Hondas I've owned have had the same issue. Putting it in first gear and then in neutral might help.

Yup just hold the clutch down, shift into another gear, then shift into reverse normally. Sometimes if it doesn't work you can do this: shift into reverse and if it feels like it's not all the way in, release the clutch slowly and it should slide right in.
