Default Anyone with aluminum radiators running without a fan?

Im curious as to know if some of you guys are driving around without a fan but using a nice 2" aluminum radiator on turbo and/or built motors?

I have a built GSR and turbo that I want to run without a fan (please don't ask why) and just a half sized aluminum tig welded radiator and 50/50 coolant-water mixture.

If you run without a fan, your car is gonna suck sitting in traffic which is when it will overheat.

Yeah thats pretty much the best response for that...

My PWR on the other hand was cooling my car amazingly on the dyno, at some points we actually turned off the dyno fan cuz the car wouldnt get to proper opperating temperature.

you are probably seeing pusher setups........
it is where we dont have room for the fan on the inside, so we put em between the intercooler and the radiator. they work pretty well.

we run our racecar on alcohol with a civic halfwide that we cut down to about 8inchs wide.... our car is hitting 180-200 by the end of the track, and if we were to drive it back up the return road into our pit spot, we'd be hitting over 220......

i dont suggest running with no rad fan, you are asking for problems....

Now does anyone know if its the black/red wire coming out of the fuse box that controls the fan?

Do not run your car without fan, as stated before it will overheat in traffic.

I have ran a stock b18c-R(11,1 comp)
on 11psi.

no fan, koyo alu rad.
Overheated all the time till I got a fan on it.
(worst case the head wil twist, and you`ll have to mill it)

if i wanted too run a pusher set-up then i would have to get some sort of slim fan, what would you recomend???

'And is the cooling efficiency better or is it about equal??

oh! and can i run this pusher set-up on my stock civic radiator?
