Default ls-vtec is it worth it?

What's up? Ls-v, is it worth it? I've been doing research I'm hearing Ls-v is reliable, it has both torque and hp. However, I'm hearing "if it's all that good honda wouldn't do it in the first place," and "it's shitty! (whose had an ls-v)"

I've read about a 700 hp plus ls-v (full-race civic) and i was amazed. I want all-motor setup then a stage 3-4 full-race turbo kit.

I'd perabaly get a b18c5, h22a, b18c1 but you see I got oly bout 80k on my ls n if only i had the $. Any advice would be appreciated.

this is one of those topics thats mostly personal opinion. i've ridden in a built all-motor ls-vtec 2nd gen integra and it pulled very hard. however a built all-motor gsr or type r would pull hard too. i didnt use to like ls-vtec, but i think now that you see more of them, and more people have built them right they are more reliable than before. i would say go for it if you have a pretty fresh ls motor already in your car. good luck.

do it and do it right and it will be fine, dont go half *** with cheap parts, and dont beat on it all day and you will have a nice reliable motor. I have one btw and vtec is great

I have an LS/VTEC and it works amazingly.... Only thing is, I tried to cheap out in the beginning and I just had to go back a fix it because I never worked right. Now that I have the way it should be.... Making more than 300whp (with boost)
