Increase Response
Will adjusting my TPS at closed throttle to a higher voltage (eg. 0.8V) improve my throttle response? My TPS was at 0.8V initially when I bought my car, but now after adjusting it to the correct voltage of 0.5V, throttle response seems to have dropped. What is the downside other than a CEL?
No.
The voltage does not affect how quickly the throttle plate opens. The only way you can increase response is by increasing the charge of air as soon as you open the butterfly. A velocity stack is the cheapest option, with individual throttlebodies being a more expensive one.

No, a velocity stack is a straight piece of pipe with a tapered/curved trumpet type opeing. J's intake is a bif fat curved pipe which acts like a resevoir for air.
