Clutch pedal sensor?

What is it for? I was under my dash looking around to try and figure out why my brake lights aren't working and I noticed 2 places on the clutch pedal for plugs - neither of which are hooked up. What do they do? Obviously they aren't necessary, but can someone tell me more info on them, I would like to hook them up.

Same here. One day it just went out on me so I just jumped it, then it dawned on me that I could interrupt the jumper with a switch.
So now I have a kill switch. Wooo.

My car used to be an auto...and I never bothered to hook that thing up....its so much easier when I'm working on my car....all I have to do is keep it in neutral and I can just reach in the window to start it

Yea thats why....if you want to hook it up, you need to wire it inline with the starter cut relay...if autos even have that relay....
you are gonna want to look through the helms diagrams for exactly where they hook it in

I never bothered with trying to make the AT cruise control work with the MT...it probably has inputs from the shifter connector, and I didn't care enough at the time to bother with it, and I doubt the clutch switch is the reason....

how did you bypass the clutch pedal? I searched all over and could not find how to bypass the clutch pedal to install a AUTOSTARTER in my Prelude, it is getting cold in Canada now..... Please help me with a simple how-to or a link of how-to bypass the clutch pedal... thankyou all..
UPDATE: I looked at my prelude manual and got it firgured out
this is how I bypass my clutch pedal today
WARNING I never have my car in any gear when I park it, so install a autostarter in a manual car with this bypass clutch mod at YOUR OWN RISK...
Look up next to the clutch pedal and you will find 2 switches, the pink one is for cruise control, the yellow one with 2 wires (BLACK and BLACK/GREEN) is what you need, unplug the yellow end, at about 1 inch away from the end plug, strip back a little (1/4 inches or so) of the outer jacket on the 2 wires, twist them wires together, solder the wires if you can or you put electrical tape around both wires. I also installed a 2ways autostarter on it today and the car start fine (using key or remote) without depressing the clutch pedal....

you know you can just pull the connector and put a jumper wire in it,
wrap it in some electrical tape and be done with it, takes 3 minutes.
