Alternator belt snapped and...
....and it threw my A/C line off. I can't pinpoint were the noise is coming from, but it seems like the main pulley ISN'T turning due to being bound up. I'm pretty sure I can replace the belts, I'm just not sure if any other kind of damage is done. I was in 2nd gear, at around 4K RPM and I give about 50% throttle and the belt snaps giving me all these problems. Is this common noise from a simple alt. belt snap?
Get the alternator belt soon before ur battery is dead. Put the a/c belt back on, tighten em down and see if it still makes the noise. What kind of noise are u hearing?
the noise could be th AC idler pulley mine just went bad and when it seized it backed the bolt out of the bracket causing the pulley to fall off and the ac belt to fall off and take out all 3 belts at once it sucked especialy at 3am
