Help Please! Idling at 4000-4500 rpm
I started my AP1 w/ Rev Hard Turbo last night and the it was idling at 4500 rpm! I drove it in the morning to school and back and it was fine. My car probably sat in my drive way for about 3 hours before I started it up again. Now if i put it in first and let go of the clutch my car will start moving without me even stepping on the gas.
I checked my throttle cable and it was fine. Then someone said it might be a vacuum line that is damaged, but i couldn't find one that was damaged. I also checked my coolant and it was full. One thing I noticed was that my oil was pretty low. The only thing I could think of is that it has to do with my EMS. I got it tuned at Church Automotive about a month ago and it was running perfect until yesterday.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?
you checked all vacuum lines and made sure there wasn't any holes? With a turbo, it's easy for hoses/lines to come loose. Does the idle hover or is it pinged at a certain rpm? Does it matter if the water temp is cold or normal operating temp?
It doesn't matter what the temperature is and its from 3500-4500 rpm. It doesn't go up and down while idling, but if I start it and its at 3500 it will stay at 3500. Or if I start it and its at 4500 it will stay at 4500. I checked the vacuum lines last night and everything looks good. I wonder what this could be.
Alright, so I checked the vacuum lines again... everything looked fine. I started my car again and it was idling at 3500 rpm. I cleaned out the throttle body and it started to idle ok, around 1000 rpm. Then I took it around the block and the idle went up to 2250-2500 rpm. I tested the PVC valve and it was fine. So I decided to clean throttle body more but the idle stayed the same. I checked on my AEMPro and it said the "Idle Target" was 2300 rpm. Then once I started my car the "Idle Target" went down to 1100, but I was idling 2250-2500 rpm.

did you calibrate the tps sensor via the AEM EMS?

my cold start-up idle is set at 2k soon as it hits 150 degrees it starts to drop off, but it usually idles around 900 - 1000 when its warm, this is using 1000cc injecters.
but answers to question if the problem keeps up you need to take it and have someone retune your idle target, id walk you threw it but pending on how your setup the idle can be a mother ****er

could be clogged injectors, but i doubt it...seems like something related to a programming error...have you checked to see if you're throwing any codes?
