I like the way it looks to just french the runners together instead of using a formal collector. I'd like to see one like this for a 4 cyl or a V6.

Haven't found any yet, here's a shot of one for a 4 cyl. Apparently this is how HKS does most of they're manifolds, or used to at least.

neukin makes one that merges all 4 together....and the turbo flange is centered to the head flange...not offset like those pictured

How would you "french" together a V6? Impossible since the headers are 2 banks of 3. You need some type of intermediate up-pipe that merges the two banks together before the turbo flange. Make sense?

I meant for a twin turbo V6 setup, two 3 cylinder manifolds.

it's alot of welding and cutting too. It looks good but seems like alot of work.

It doesn't look that hard to cut. I could adjust my collector jig to a different angle and cut away.

not a chance, look at the far right runner in the very first picture. The cut into that tube goes for more than 8 inches, and it follows the curve of the other tube which is also cut. It isn't a straight line, your jig wouldn't work.

you're right, but i was refering to making a collector out of straight pipe using the same concept instead of bends like that. I have no idea how they would cut something like that.

i imagine they cut the tubing on a horizontal band saw

But most importantly, does it work better than a conventional collector?

I have the Neukin one in my hands the other day... it looked pretty nice, but the dyno will tell once I tune the car....

probably not a noticeable amount, the velocities probably drop off alot and the turbulence has to be ridiculous. Still looks fancy shmancy
