Default is this welder ok?

would this welder be ok for doing body work and exhaust work? i think the 70Amps is to low or is it ok? and one bad thing i suppose is the heat setting -theres only 4. but for the time being until i invest in a good welder would this work?

thanks:

Mig Wire Feed Welder : 70 A wire-feed welder
Infinite wire speed control
High-efficiency transformer; heat selection dial with four settings
Includes wire-feed welder, gas regulator, gas hose, two hose clamps, welding shield, one spool of flux-core wire, hammer/brush, quick-start guide and instruction manual
Uses MIG (gas) or flux-core (gasless) wires

You have to ask yourself, what are your plans? What ga material are you looking to weld?

I have a 100amp MIG and it's good for everything automotive related. I've never had a job it couldn't accomplish at 100amps.

Honestly though, 4 settings is very limited. I have 10 and I use all of them. How adjustable is the speed of the wire feed?

Infinite wire speed, but heat is 4 settings. - im just really picking this up to finish up my car cuz i've just paid for school and all and later im plannin on picking up a good welder...but like 70amps would be enuff to do both body panel patching and welding tubing?

Every 0.001" of material thickness needs roughly 1 amp of power. Do the math.

Most people would burn through with those settings. Try more like half. IF you are a little more adept, then you could step it up and move faster.
