BYS Fiberglass Rear Spoiler, are all of them wavy?
everytime i see a bys rear spoiler i notice they are wavy, probably 90-95% of them are, is it because its fiberglass and its hard to work on?
I've heard that the replica's have a better fitment that the authentic

I've noticed it too on my friends berlina. It does have a wavy appeal to it, but i think nothing but a good Paint shop can fix it.
Prepping is the most important part to it. Just some primer, sanding it down, and were set.

haha yeah man. But in reality, its all body/paint shop.
Think about it, if they can get smashed up cars looking brand new once again, why would a little wing be differen't

is it because they're trying to push the knock-off's? I've rarely seen a replica fit better than the original.

you need to sand it and prep it right, if you just buy and paint it, it's going to come out like that.

The key to making a BYS wing fit right is silicone
Theirs enough play where the bolts go through to make the wing move when you tighten the bolts. I added a small bead of clear silicone around the bolt holes, placed the wing on the trunk and then tightened the bolts 75%. Moved the wing to where I wanted it, and then tightened. Mine fits like a champ.

what type of silicone did you use? the clear one for bathtubs and stuff?
it wouldn't be a bad idea to put a thin layer underneather the edges to keep the water out.
