Default Removing my rear spoiler..

I want to remove my rear spoiler because I've a lot of tegs without them on and they look pretty decent to me.. But, would I feel any difference in handling at highway and city speeds if I were to take it off??.. What are the pros and cons of the rear spoiler??..

what color is your car?
I have seen the SS blue without them and it looks good. Green might be okay, or even silver without the spoiler.
BUT not on white, black, PY, and red. IMHO

u can do it for like $200.00 ( I think ) in Aerotek Buena Park. they shaved the emblem, patched the whole (reakky nice!) and repainted the whole trunk. I had them painted my body kit including the spoiler/trunk job for $700.00. I have a Cypress Green Pearl and it looks damn good with no Spoiler plus the Buddy Club rear kit! I'll have pixs next week soon as I install my Diamond Plate Aluminum Floor

contrary to the belief that FWD cars doesn't need spoiler on high speeds, I have proven this to be "slightly" wrong. I usually run in Glenoaks every friday and the first night I didnt have my spoiler on, the back of the car kinda wiggled a lil bit as I accelerate rapidly. but after so many runs, ur car will get used to not having the spoiler.

cool thanks for the response.. so how do they do it exactly? do they use like bondo or sumthing on the holes then primer and paint the whole trunk? i guess as long as it looks clean and you cant tell there were holes there i'd be happy...

my friends cant even tell where the whole was, it wasnt just bondo dude. welded, sanded, primed and painted.

cool deal.. i've never done this b4.. so i was just guessing.. maybe for $350 or so i could have them shave the holes and paint it plus putting in 4 door rear handles into my 2 door replacing the front handles ...if i bring the handles in and have the spoiler off the car that should save sum labor..

can i ask you.. how long did the process take/how long were you w/o your car?

friday morning drop off and saturday afternoon pick up. I picked it up sunday morning to avoid traffic tho', plus to make sure the paint was all dry. Aerotek is specializing in Nissan Z but the owner is having H and A customers lately. the owner actually races in SCCA and u'll see his Z cars in the shop. amazing he dont charge that much...

painting a set of Z3 fender is $180.00; so maybe side skirts would be lil bit the same.
