Crane HI-6DSR sounds like a nice ignition system
I'm looking for an ignition system mainly for the 2 step feature. Does Crane make good ignition systems? this 6DSR sounds really nice, anyone have any experience with it? i know about the M&W but i'm not trying to spend that much money.

I have the normal Hi-6 (without the 2 step) and and old PS92 coil...
Ive had it in the car for close to 10 years. it has worked flawlessly since then...
made 630+ with it, so it obviously works. which is more than I can say for most of the MSD stuff.. I mean, its a coin toss with the MSD as to whether it will work or not.... (they seem to fail a lot)
thats my two cents...

thats awesome. this thing has a malfunction light too so if something does go wrong, it will tell you what it is. you gotta like that. so i need to get a PS92 coil with it? right now i have an MSD blaster 2 coil.

I could be wrong, but, I dont think that you can use MSD coils with the Crane stuff and vice-versa.
but again, I could be wrong.

also, that reminds me, I find it interesting that NASCAR cars have two MSD boxes in them in case one fails.. that kinda says something doesnt it? I mean, they dont have two fuel pumps...
